I had the awesome opportunity to create the logo for the home of MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew Champions, Quest Crew and Poreotics. After meeting with the team a few times in Cerritos where Quest Studio is located, I was given direction on how to design the logo.
The team wanted an urban feel that communicated a dance and music studio. After several tries at the handlettering, I hired Mark Dayap to write out “QUEST” 50 times so I could choose the ones that I could integrate into the logo comps. I was also to add a musical element to it. I decided that the bars of musical notation would convey that.
After a few rounds, we finally got to the final product that looks like this:
It is an absolute honor to somehow be a part of something that helps keep kids stay active and out of trouble.
